Stomp Under Foot Civil Warは、1991年に作られたロシア製のファズ/ディストーションペダルのサウンドからインスパイアを受け、その音色を探し続けて完成したファズペダルです。
Sovtekの初期に作られたビッグマフは、後に作られるアーミーグリーンやブラック筐体のものとは違った形、デザインとなっており、この時代のモデルはシビルウォーと呼ばれています。 オリジナルモデル同様のゲインレンジ、そして豊かなローエンドを持つその特性は、リードではスムースに、コードは高い圧の迫力のある歪みを作ることができます。
シビルウォー期のビッグマフは、デヴィッド・ギルモアの使用でも知られており、様々なスタイルのロックに最適なトーンを作ります。

Stomp Under Foot Civil WarはオリジナルNOSロシアントランジスタを使用し、当時のサウンドを今に甦らせます。
